Bot Profile Freemium

How to customize how Mokito appears inside your server — the announcements channel (free), the per-server nickname and avatar (Premium), and the reset action.

Overview

The Bot Settings page in the guild dashboard lets you customize how Mokito appears inside your server. It has two sections:

The page lives at Bot Settings in the guild dashboard sidebar (the last link above the Quick links group). Only the server owner and managers can change bot settings.

The global bot is never changed

The most important thing to understand about per-server bot identity: it only affects your server. Mokito's global name and avatar — what shows up in direct messages, friend lists, and the Discord application directory — are never changed by anything on this page. Every customization here is a per-server override that applies only to the server you are configuring.

Think of it like a costume. Mokito wears the custom nickname and avatar only while inside your server. The moment it leaves (DMs, other servers), it goes back to its global identity. Other servers you manage are unaffected.

Announcements Channel

The announcements channel is a free setting available to every server. It picks a channel where Mokito will post announcements in the future. The setting is saved now so that when the announcement feature is available, your server is already configured.

The channel picker shows text and announcement channels from your server. You can type a channel name to search or paste a channel ID directly.

How to set it

  1. Open the Bot Settings page for your server.
  2. In the Announcements channel widget, type a channel name in the search box or paste a channel ID.
  3. Click Save announcements channel.

To opt your server out of announcements, clear the field and click Save announcements channel. The badge next to the widget title shows "Configured" when a channel is set and "Not set" when it is blank.

Stale channel warning

If the saved channel no longer exists in your server (it was deleted, or the channel list hasn't been refreshed), a warning callout appears showing the stale channel ID. You can pick a new channel or clear the field to opt out.

Per-Server Bot Identity Premium

The per-server bot identity section lets you set a custom nickname and avatar for Mokito that only applies inside your server. This is a Mokito Premium feature — on non-Premium servers, the nickname and avatar fields are disabled and a Premium lock callout appears.

A "Current profile" preview at the top of the section shows the bot's current display name and avatar in your server, so you can see the current state at a glance. If no override is set, the preview shows the global bot name and a default avatar.

Nickname

Set a custom nickname for Mokito that only applies inside your server. The nickname replaces the bot's global username in your server's member list, messages, and mentions.

Avatar

Upload a custom avatar for Mokito that only applies inside your server. A live preview appears next to the file picker as soon as you select a file.

Animated GIF avatars. Discord supports animated GIF avatars for bots. If you upload a GIF, it will animate in your server. Keep the file under 200 KB.

Remove avatar

To remove the custom avatar and revert to the bot's global avatar:

  1. Check the Clear avatar option on the avatar form.
  2. Click Upload avatar (the button sends the clear request, not a new file).

The per-server avatar override is removed and Mokito goes back to its global avatar in your server. The nickname is not affected.

Reset to defaults

The Reset guild profile button at the bottom of the identity section clears both the nickname and the avatar override at once, reverting Mokito to its global identity inside your server. A confirmation modal appears before the reset is applied.

Reset clears everything. Resetting removes the nickname and the avatar — there is no way to reset just one. If you only want to clear the avatar, use the "Remove avatar" flow above. If you only want to clear the nickname, leave the nickname field blank and save.

The announcements channel is not affected by the reset — it is a separate free setting that persists independently of the Premium identity.

What happens when Premium lapses

If you set a custom nickname and/or avatar while on Premium and your subscription later lapses:
