XP & Levels — Overview Premium

A member engagement system that rewards activity with XP, levels, level-up announcements, level reward roles, and a set of mini-games — all bundled under one Premium-only category.

Overview

XP & Levels is a Mokito Premium feature that turns ordinary server chatter into a progression system. As members send messages, they earn XP. XP translates into levels via a fixed curve. When a member crosses a level, Mokito can post a level-up announcement in a channel you choose and grant a role you have configured as a reward. On top of the message-based XP, four mini-games (Coin Flip, Daily, Counting, Guess the Word, and Trivia) let members earn extra XP through play.

What XP & Levels is

At its core, the system is five things:

Message XP — every qualifying message from a human member earns a random 10–30 XP, throttled by a per-member rate limit you configure.
Levels — XP accumulates into a level on a fixed curve. The curve is the same for every server.
Level-up announcements — when a member levels up, Mokito posts a templated message in a channel you pick (or silently, if you leave the channel blank).
Level rewards — you can map a Discord role to a level. When a member reaches that level, Mokito grants the role. Choose stack mode (keep every earned role) or replace mode (swap to the new role and revoke the old one).
Mini-games — Coin Flip (wager XP on a flip), Daily (claim a bonus once per day), Counting (cooperative counting channel), Guess the Word (definition guessing game), and Trivia (multiple-choice question rounds). Each awards XP.

A Mokito Premium feature

The entire XP & Levels category is Premium-only. There is no free tier and no freemium split — every sub-feature (XP earning, announcements, rewards, and all five mini-games) requires Mokito Premium. In a server without Premium, the bot does not award XP and the mini-games are dormant. All stored configuration is retained and resumes the moment the server re-subscribes.

Who can configure. Only the server owner and managers (and Mokito admins) can open any XP & Levels settings page. Everyone else receives an access-denied response. Members get read-only views such as the leaderboards and /profile.

What is inside

The XP & Levels category in the guild dashboard has eight sub-pages, listed alphabetically in the sidebar:

Invite Tracker	Track invite counts and post a top-10 leaderboard to a channel.
Rewards	Map levels to roles and choose stack or replace mode.
Trivia	Configure the multiple-choice question game (channel, XP range, cooldown).
Settings	The level-up message template, the announcement channel, and the XP rate limit.

Members also have a separate Leaderboards area in the member dashboard (read-only) with a Levels & XP board, plus per-game boards for Guess the Word, Trivia, Counting, and the Invite Tracker.

The XP & Levels pages

Each sub-page follows the same pattern: a configuration form that only owners and managers can edit, with a live preview or status card where relevant. The documentation breaks the category into the following pages:

The /profile command

Any member of a Premium server can run /profile to see their own XP profile as a Discord embed. The response is ephemeral — only the caller sees it, so it never clutters the channel. The command takes no arguments and always shows the invoker's own profile.

If the server does not have Premium, the command replies with an ephemeral message explaining that XP & Levels is a Premium feature.

What it shows

The embed contains the following fields, all about the invoking member:

Field	What it shows
Level	The member's current level.
Total XP	The member's accumulated XP.
Server Rank	The member's rank on the server's XP leaderboard (#1 is the top member).
Messages Sent	How many qualifying messages the member has sent. Wagers and daily claims do not count.
Avg XP / Message	The member's average XP earned per message.
XP to Next Level	How much more XP the member needs to reach the next level.
Progress bar	A 10-block bar showing progress from the current level to the next, with a percentage.

The embed title uses the member's Discord username, the thumbnail is the member's Discord avatar, and the footer shows the server name.

Leaderboards

Members can view leaderboards from the member dashboard. The Levels & XP leaderboard shows the top 15 members by total XP, with an Olympic-style podium for the top 3 (gold center, silver left, bronze right), a "Your Rank" pod showing the logged-in member's own rank, level, total XP, and progress, and ranked cards for positions 4–15. The member's own row is highlighted. Guess the Word has a matching leaderboard ranked by correct guesses; the other games have their own boards. Members who have left the server still appear (their user ID is used as a fallback name).

When Premium lapses

If the server's Premium subscription lapses, XP & Levels behaves gracefully:

The bot stops awarding XP for messages. No XP is lost — existing totals are preserved.
All mini-games go dormant — no new rounds, no daily claims, no coin flips.
Level-up announcements and reward role grants stop.
Every settings page is retained: the level-up template, the announcement channel, the rate limit, the reward rules, and every mini-game's configuration are all preserved.
Re-subscribing to Premium re-enables everything instantly — no reconfiguration needed.
