Role Toggles Premium

Per-role feature restrictions that narrow down the server-wide defaults.

Overview

Role Toggles let you restrict specific roles further. When a role has an override here, members with that role can only use the features you enable on this page — the Server Toggles defaults no longer apply to them for those features.

Members without an override use the server-wide settings. If a role isn't configured here, it inherits the Server Toggles.

How role toggles work

Role toggles vs Server Toggles

Server Toggles set the default for everyone — they're the baseline of what any member can do with their temporary voice channel.

Role Toggles let you restrict specific roles further. When a role has an override here, members with that role can only use the features you enable on this page — the server defaults no longer apply to them for those features.

Members without an override use the server-wide settings. If a role isn't configured here, it inherits the Server Toggles.

Example: The Server Toggles have "Lock" enabled (everyone can lock). You create a Role Toggle for the @Newcomers role that does not include "Lock". Now @Newcomers members cannot lock their channels, while everyone else still can.

Configuring a role override

  1. Go to Temporary Voice → Role Toggles in the dashboard.
  2. Pick a role from the dropdown (only roles without an existing override appear).
  3. Enable (green ✓) the features this role should be allowed to use. Features left at the red X stay disabled for members with this role.
  4. Click Save Role Override.

The override appears in the "Existing overrides" table below, showing the role name (with its Discord color dot) and the allowed features as badges.

Editing an override

Click the Edit button on an existing override row. The form loads the role's saved toggle states, changes the title to "Edit override: {role name}", and disables the role dropdown (you're editing, not creating new). Click Cancel edit to go back to creating a new override.

Deleting an override

Click the Delete button on an override row. The role goes back to using the server-wide settings. A confirmation modal appears before the override is removed.
